Langkawi again

April 30th, I went to Langkawi by Mas Airlines. Want to change the routine of going to Langkawi by Airasia. My flight was at 2.15pm. In the morning, I thought I would help my boss out my bringing him to Taman Melati in Setapak. I thought that it would be a short journey to KLIA. Boy...I was wrong. It was. raining heavily at the Sungai Besi Toll at the Nilai exit and the KLIA exit. I reached KLIA at 1.15pm. I rushed to check in and I rushed to gate B9. All this while I was thinking, I am going to miss the flight. Lucky for me I had a few minutes to spare...fuhhhhhhh!!!
The flight to Langkawi was not that good, mayb because I didn't bring a book to read. However I had my PSP to play hehehehehe
Once in Langkawi, I met up with Joe my new found fren and Sahil, a long time fren. I also met a new fren by the name of Kenny. I had a fun time with Joe and tomorrow I am going on a working date with Joe... He's going to take me to a cheese factory in Langkawi... Wonder would I get to taste some fresh cheese...... YUMMMMMMMY!!!!!!!!

How time flies....

We always don't realise how time flies very fast. We are so engulfed in our daily works that we don't stop and appreciate our surrounding.
Today we are here and the next thing you know you are NOT ALIVE ANYMORE.
This is what happened to a childhood friend of my colleague. My colleague saw him on Tuesday and he passed away in a motor accident on Thursday evening. Nobody would ever expect him to die.
A lesson to be learnt here, appreciate every minutes and every seconds you have coz you might never know u when u will be gone.

May he rest in peace ....

Today is today, tomorrow is tomorrow, yesterday is yesterday.

This morning, for the 1st time of all my working days in the camp, I didn't go towork. Normally, I am the first one to wake up and the last one to sleep. Today I decided to sleep it off. Felt disheartened that's why I don't want to wake up and slept until nearly noon. When I finally I wake up, I took my own sweet time to take bath.....hehehehe....
Then i sat on the porch observing the trees, the wind and the birds. I told myself that I don't get to c this in Kl.. Everywhere u c would be high rise buildings.
Ding.... a realization came into my mind. Why waste the present moment thinking about the negative things, why not enjoy the NOW moment? Why worried about the future? Why lingered at the past? Why not live at the PRESENT moment??? If lived at the NOW moment then I won't be worrying about the future and thinking of the past......

the 1st 3d2n camp of 2009

Just finished the 1st 3d 2n camp of 2009. I've learnt a few things from this camp. Nowadays the students don't care much about being a leader. They don't use their thinking cap which is really a bad thing... They just accept things on the face value, follow orders blindly, not enough sense of responsibility and have this don't care attitude. Some of the students are really pampered, some of them are arrogant which I termed them bodoh sombong and some of them are quite impatient. Normally, I would 'wash' those who are arrogant but I couldn't do this as I don't really have the support of the teachers and from my team. Thus I just leave them as they are in their own world which is quite a pity. I have a feeling I am the worst FCs of all... what a change. I overheard that I luv to nag them.... Erm... I wish I had somebody then to nag me on the qualities of leadership and to motivate me..
Another important lesson I learn is everyone can move a mountain but the person has to have tremendous strength, believe and courage to move. I don't know whether I have one coz now I felt like I am drained of energy and always wonder whether what I am doing is correct and whether it's worthwhile.....

Fly again......

Once in awhile there would be something to affirm my luv for my job. My job allows me to travel a lot in search for new camps or new students. Last Saturday, on an impromptu decision, I booked 2 air tickets to Langkawi. The reason - to seek out new students for Orange International College, Kuala Lumpur.
So, on Sunday, off I went to LCCT airport at 5.00 am to catch the AirAsia flight of 8.10am. It was fun having to drive in the early hours of the day with no traffic. It wasn't fun though when I had to search for parking to park my car. Wow, even though it was 630 am, the airport is buzzing with people....Talk about early birds....
I am a fan of Air Asia, so, for this trip, I chose Air Asia. The flight to Langkawi was not my usual cool, comfortable and enjoyable flight. It was one of the terrible flights I have been on. The takeoff and landing were awful. The flight attendants never smiled.... The captain mumbled through the speaker....Talked about good service.
However the flight back from Langkawi was nearly perfect. Although it was delayed for 90 minutes, I still consider it perfect. It was suppose to take off at 1040 in the evening, it was delayed due to bad weather in KL. Even though it was the last flight of the night, the flight attendants were always smiling and they were given applause by the passengers, the flight captain (Captain Desmond) and his assistant (Darrell) have the courtesy to come out from the cockpit to bid every passengers good night when they are alighting from the plane. Quiet takeoff and perfect landing..... the best of all my fights with Air Asia....
However it was not the case with the customs officers in Langkawi. One of the them was quite rude to the passenger and this passenger did not take it lightly and it blew into a big quarrel and created a big scene. Talked about service the customer with a smile....
This is actualy happening in Malaysia. I have travelled a lot and I've met a lot of people. One of the most common reaction I got was that our Malaysian Officers irregardless they are the police, the customs, the traffics officers... some of them can be very rude.
I wonder will this ever change...
