One of those crazy days...

Today, woke up at 500 coz there's a talk in SMK Abdul Rahman Talib in Teluk Intan, Perak. By 630, i and my 2 colleagues were on the way there. I was behind the wheel. The sky was still dark when we left Klang. I used the highway to reach Bidor and from there onwards to Teluk Intan. They said faster that way. I had the opportunity of witnessing the sunrise. Too bad can't shoot any photos. Anyway, we were 45 mins early, so, waited at the canteen. The talk went well. By 12 noon, we were on our way back to Klang.

On my way back, I had the craziest idea of going down to Pengkalan Balak in Malacca to watch turtle nesting. They all agreed.

We reached Klang around 4.00.. search for additional information about the turtle nesting. We were in luck as from june to sept are the peak season of turtle nestling.

Around 11.00 at night, we made our way to Malacca, this time Desmond was the driver. I was sitting happily behind. When we reached Seremban, we rested for awhile. I noticed there were many malays resting.. maybe they just came back from kenduris.

During the 2nd part of the journey, Aznori was the driver and me as the co-driver...hahaha. The highway was lited until after Senawang. From there onwards, it was pitch dark.
After exiting at Pedas, the road to Pengkalan Balak was pitch dark as it was a kampung road. It looked like we have entered into another world. Pretty scary...had the feeling that a puntianak was following us. Too bad...no such luck hehehhe

Once we reached Masjid Tanah, we followed the signboard pointing to Kolej Matrikulasi Melaka and from there another 10 minutes reached Pengkalan Balak. Finally, we have reached the turtles' nesting site. The sea was rough..with sounds of waves hitting the beach. We made our way through a small road until the end. The turtle sanctuary is located somewhere near the end of the road.

There Aznori and I met 2 persons who were on practical of their course. Their duty is to tag the turtles that come up to nest. We asked them did the turtles come up? There was one at the army's camp.

Well, Aznori and Desmond slept in the car while i sat at the beach waiting for the turtles. Can't blame them coz they were tired. It was nice of them to follow my crazy idea.
I waited until 530 and there was no turtle in sight. Huhuhu not my luck... but I had the chance to witness the birth of so many turtles and the release of them into the sea.
Around 6, Desmond drove us back. Again, I had the chance to witness the sunrise. However, it's not as beautiful as the one in I wish to see in Sg. Lembing.

Wonder when will I be able to see turtles nesting?
